Stereoscopic photographs

Stereoscopic photographs were created around 1850, giving images a three-dimensional illusion with the help of special projectors, the stereoscopes, and through small portable devices. For years it has been the favorite way of entertainment for children and adults in urban salons and clubs. Verge Collective has in its collection glass stereoscopic plates which depict travel destinations from all continents. Among them there is a stereoscopic glass plate with the Parthenon photographed in the last century.
